Investment ensures all the bases are covered

“As well as the regular covers we undertake the unusual and bespoke” explains Clint Boulton of Cover-all. Blinds & Shutters visited the company to find out more about its offering

Situated in Paignton Devon Cover-all Fabrications Limited has been established for a number of years and has progressed from Fabricated PVC and Acrylic Covers to supplying the Trade with a complete ready to fit service which includes Awnings, Dutch Blinds, Components and Accessories.

Cover-AllThe privately owned Company is headed by Clint Boulton who has had thirty four years experience in the Trade. Clint explained that being only a Trade Supplier with no retail commitments allows the company to look after its number one priority ‘The Customer’. “We have no distractions.” he explained.

Cover-all offers a broad range of products giving its customer a number of options to fulfil their commitments and keep them ahead of their competitors. For example, Cover-all is the UK sole distributor of Estoryl PVC blind and awning fabric which consists of 14 plain colours, ten block stripes and ten multi stripes with colourways to suit every installation.  Supplied in roll form, cut length or as a fully made up cover. This also applies to Acrylic Fabrics in Swela or Diklon, Wet Look and accessories.
The Company also offers the Markilux 915 fully cassetted awning system. Clint points out it is reassuring for our customers that Cover-all has a partner in Markilux which brings confidence and quality.  The 915 system has proved a very popular addition to Cover-all’s product range.

It is all very well having the products to meet customer demands but Clint believes Cover-all excels and maintains its customers thanks to the service and back up provided. Clint explained: “As well as the regular covers we undertake the unusual and the bespoke which can be anything from the small shaped cover to the large complex cover which includes windows, doorways and zipped interlocking panels. The Company has a strong customer base and the majority of its work is return business.  “People know what we can do. If for some reason we cannot do the job either through existing commitments or the unavailability of the fabrics we let the customer know. There is no point having a short sited view because if you let the customer down they will not return.”

Cover-all prides itself on its “personal, efficient service” and throughout its eleven years has adapted to meet customer demands. The 915 cassette awnings and made up canopies are despatched within ten working days with made up covers in five working days.

Cover-AllThe Industry has changed over the years and Cover-all has reaped the benefits through investment in state of the art machinery which has cut lead times, cut out errors and increased efficiency. Clint explained: “Our pride and joy is our fully computerised cutting bench. We load the fabric required input the finished sizes (width and drop) then it automatically makes all the allowances to cut the material to the required size allowing for seaming, hems, and pockets ready for finishing. Manually cutting down and marking out is now thankfully a distant memory.”

The Company has also invested in two fully automated sewing machines, one for smaller covers with a 3.5 metre feed and release and the other, Cover-all understands to be the longest in the Trade which has a massive 7 metre feed release with a total length of 15 metres which enables the company to stitch up to a 8 metres length without having to fold the material. Clint explained: “The machinery saves time and increases production. It has been a worth while investment.”

Quality and service are at the heart of what Cover-all stands for. The Company has invested at the right time in the right equipment and this commitment has benefited its customers.
