Eclipse is passionate about child safety

Eclipse products comply with the new child safety regulations.

With the forthcoming child safety legislation, there has never been a bigger spotlight on the issue of child safety and child safe products. Eclipse Blinds has always been passionate about child safety right from the launch of the Safety in Mind campaign and has strived to develop a range of child safe systems in order to highlight this concern.

Eclipse has a comprehensive range of Safe by Design products, meaning they have no hanging cords or loops and require no adaptation to comply with the new legislation. Its Intu blind system is an innovative window blind that is available as venetian, pleated, duette, roller and deep bead roller. Intu is the ideal blind choice for PVC windows and doors, perfectly combining style and safety.

The Senses roller blind system has a choice of models including the fascia free, slow-rise and motorised, all of which can be operated without the need of a chain, making them Safe by Design and giving installers and customers peace of mind when installing and using these products.

Eclipse has also expanded into the motorised world; as well as the Senses motorised, it also has a Powershade vertical blind and a roman motorised blind, all of which can be operated at the touch of a button.

Eclipse offers a range of additional products that include wand operation, partition blinds or tensioned blinds, which will comply with the new child safety legislation due to their Safe by Design method of operation.

Despite the cord and chain free operation of these systems, Eclipse has ensured that they have all been tested to provide peace of mind when supplying these products. All Eclipse systems have been tested both internally and externally to ensure compliance with the child safety requirements of EN 13120.

To complement its chain and cord operated products, Eclipse has a comprehensive range of safety components that are suitable across a variety of product types. All Eclipse safety components have been tested both internally and externally to ensure compliance with the child safety requirements of EN 13120.

A list of all compliant components is available from the Eclipse Customer Service Department.
